Thanks for visiting! My name is Shannon and I'm the owner of Marketplace Middleman, LLC. I'm a mom of 4 who likes to stay busy.
Here is how this business came to be.
- Hitting Goals -
On November 29, 2024, My kids and I set a goal to make 200 fresh Christmas wreaths over a 4 week period to raise money for annual Disney passes and can you believe it, we hit our goal! I drove around to local tree stands, Lowe's/Home Depot tree lots and picked up free branches to make these wreaths by hand. People not only loved the wreaths, but they made multiple orders. I was fueled by the positive reviews by my customers. It pushed me to continue providing quality wreaths to over a hundred customers. In the process I learned that hard work, determination and doing what I love meant that it wasn't a tedious task, it was a joy! I had the privilege of bringing Christmas cheer to others with our quality wreaths.
Now that the Christmas season is over, I wanted to come up with another way to stay busy, help others and make money to provide for my family of 6. I thought about what I enjoy doing, paired that with my skillsets, and came up with Marketplace Middleman, LLC.
It's always a risk to start a business, there are upfront costs, fears/doubts to overcome and new things to learn, but just like my wreath making adventure, I know that I can't fail when I am doing what I love, serving in excellence, helping others and remain honest and ethical.
Marketplace Middleman, LLC was created because I love thrifting, yard saling and finding good deals. Once I resigned from my full time job to take care of my newborn, I needed a way to stay busy, but not spend money.
That led me to the concept of helping others make money by selling their items online. I have sold items online since the "Craigslist" days (1999). I have watched the web transform from one platform to the next, and have learned what ways are best for buying/selling online.
